Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Harmony Day 2025
We were very excited to join with other small schools in our network for Harmony Day activities at Willawarrin Public School. Harmony Day is an Australian celebration of cultural diversity that fosters a sense of inclusiveness, respect, and community for all.
Billabong Zoo Excursion
Our K–2 students had a fantastic day at Billabong Zoo. We joined with K-2 from our small school network, sharing the learning, having fun and making new friendships. Highlights included feeding the kangaroos, watching the meerkats and koalas, the crocodile feeding and the reptile show.
Dhanghatti Language Livestream
As part of NSW Aboriginal Languages Week 2025, a livestream of a language lesson was broadcast from our school. Our Year 2-6 students joined in a lesson delivered by Gila Caroline Bradshaw, and they did an amazing job in showcasing their knowledge of Dhanghatti and their skills in speaking it. The theme “Let Our Voices Fly” celebrates the resilience of Elders and communities in keeping the languages alive and honours the work of language revitalization.
We love our school for its supportive community and commitment to every student’s success. Our child feels safe and inspired every day. — a parent of Green Hill Public School
